Felt Composite Instruments are lightweight, nonstick anodized aluminum instruments in a black color.
The #1 Felt has a small triangular plugger for accurate compression into the cavity preparation. The shorter, wider blade is used for placing composite material in Class II restorations.
The #1 Goldstein is used for all classes where a small, thin, delicate instrument is needed in combination with a small, rounded plugger tip. Thinness of the blade allows for easy manipulation into the gingival sulcus.
The #1 Mini Goldstein is 1/3 smaller and thinner than Goldstein #1. The extremely small, rounded ends are excellent for placing and contouring difficult to reach restorations, small Class I and III restorations with minimal interproximal space.
The #2 Felt has a longer blade angled for Class III, IV and V restorations. The small triangular plugger is used for accurate compression into the cavity preparation.
The #3 Felt has a narrow blade end for Class III, IV and V restorations. The small triangular plugger is used for accurate compression into the cavity preparation.
The #3 Goldstein has reverse double end blades that are mainly used for initial placement and shaping of composite in full veneer bonding, Class III and IV. This instrument is also indicated for packing gingival retraction cord.
The #3 Mini Goldstein is 1/3 smaller and thinner than Goldstein #3 and is used for reaching smaller, tighter areas such as lower incisors or deciduous teeth. This instrument is also excellent for packing gingival retraction cord around lower anteriors and tight sulcular areas.
The #4 Felt has reverse double end medium-sized blades that facilitate placement of composite materials in full veneer bonding Class III and IV restorations.
The #4 Goldstein has identical paired blades for placing and shaping material on the mesial and distal surfaces of posterior teeth.
The #5 Felt has a larger round plugger for condensing and a medium blade size for shaping larger Class I, II and V restorations.
The #6 Felt composite restorative dental instrument is manufactured in a black lightweight anodized aluminum. The instrument allows for a greater sensitivity and feel – is nonsticking and cleans easily.
